The BIG project will enable the  diffusion of best practices of Big data within the whole community. We has already identified major areas where the research is promoted and coordinated on the Big data perspective such as Data Acquisition, Data Analysis, Data Curation, Data Storage and Data Usage. In addition, BIG selected a wide spectrum of domains such as Finance and Insurance sector, Health sector, Manufacturing and Retail sectors, Public sector, and, finally, Telecommunication, Media and Entertainment sectors. 

 
Subscribers will have first-hand information about Big Data technologies initiatives and results. 
 
To be involved in the Big Data discussion, the project provides a number of collaboration tools where each interested party could be subscribed in and is welcome to participate.
